Confidentiality

Our work together is held in a confidential container which we hold with great care. However, we are mandated by law and ethical standards to which we must adhere- some exceptions apply:

Termination of Services

As a client, you have the right to terminate services at any time.

Breaking Confidentiality

Information about you will only be shared if:

1. You asked me to share information with another healthcare provider, family member, or any person you designate on a signed release of information form.

2. You intend to physically harm yourself (including suicidal intentions) or cause physical harm to another

3. Where reasonable suspicion of child, elder, or dependent adult abuse exists

4. I am given a valid court order

5. During a medical emergency in which you become incapacitated

6. You are over the age of 21 and are engaging in sexual activity with a person who is 16 years old or younger

7. In consultation with colleagues, I may discuss your therapy sessions to review what is happening and give our work together appropriate attention
